FILCOM CENTER BACK TO UFCP
Or UFCP BACK TO FILCOM CENTER. Whatever it is, the UFCP will be back soon to its former house / office – the FILCOM Center. Mr. Paulino Lambert, the present Chief of Pohnpei State Labor & Manpower Division and the one in-charge of the Pohnpei State Government Housing handed the keys of the FILCOM Center to UFCP last April 18, 2008, through the great efforts of Ms. Ursula Abalos, UFCP Auditor. Ms. Abalos, in turn, turned over the keys to UFCP President Gerry Figueras.
Last February 26, 2008, in her letter to Pohnpei State Governor John Ehsa, the outgoing Honorary Consul Alicia Ada voluntarily relinquished her right to use FILCOM Center as her office, and returned the keys to Pohnpei State Government.
Last Saturday (April 19, 2008), a day after receiving the keys of the FILCOM Center, the UFCP President made an ocular inspection, and found out that it already needs major repairs / renovations. Cleaning of the premises of the FILCOM Center immediately started on that same day.
Welcome back to the FILCOM Center!
